Governor Patrick Busted During Massachusetts Car-Free Week

Posted by jcashman

Governor Deval Patrick got totally busted leaving his Milton home Monday in a black SUV with his State Trooper behind the wheel. As reported by NE Post, it is Massachusetts Car-Free Week. The Governor encouraged his constituents to ditch their wheels and either walk, bike or take public transportation to work.
Apparently Patrick is not taking his own advice. A WBZ camera crew caught him red-handed. In fairness, the guy has to make a lot of pit stops throughout the day, so going car-free for a week might be a logistical nightmare. However, getting caught on day one really didn’t make him look too good politically. He didn’t have any public events Monday on his schedule, but now you know the press will be all over him for the rest of the week. Sadly, the attention now will be taken away from World Car-Free Day on September 22 and instead be focused on Patrick’s missteps. Massachusetts joins over 1,000 cities in 40 countries globally to celebrate World Car-Free Day on September 22.
Take a look at Governor Patrick’s schedule today. Can anyone tell me how he could do this route without a car?
