It Is Trail Time: 2 Vermont Ski Resorts Expected to Open This Weekend

Posted by jcashman

Two Vermont ski resorts plan to start the ski season early.

Killington and Mount Snow are expected to each open one trail this weekend, thanks to the recent snow and cold.

Killington officials said Friday that the resort’s mountains got 9 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.

Here’s the message on their websites:

The snow was a welcome change two months after their communities were cut off from the outside world by flooding from Tropical Storm Irene.

Both resorts hope to be open Saturday and Sunday. After Sunday, operations will depend on conditions
