Career Centers To Host Merrimack Valley Job Fair

The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development announced on Monday that the ValleyWorks Career Center and Career Center of Lowell will host a Merrimack Valley job fair on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the UMass Lowell Conference Center, 50 Warren St., Lowell.

Admission to the job fair is free and job seekers from across the Commonwealth are welcome. The fair will feature more than 40 employers with job opportunities in various industries, including administration, communication, customer service, education, engineering, finance, health care, insurance, manufacturing, and transportation.

The event’s organizers are emphasizing the importance of first impressions. They encourage attendees to practice 30-second introductions, dress neatly, and bring multiple copies of their résumés. They may be asked to complete job applications at the fair.

Membership or pre-registration is required, and Career Center members should bring their membership cards for quick entry. Updated employer listings and event details will appear online at valleyworks.cc or cclowell.org.
