MA-Based Social Recruiting Company Unveils New Facebook App Tools that Allow Job Opportunities to Go Viral

Waltham, Massachusetts-based Jobmagic has a simple, straightforward mission: “To make it fast and easy for job seekers to find great jobs - and for recruiters to find great candidates.”

In its latest effort to attract job seekers via social networks, Jobmagic recently unveiled a new set of social media optimization tools for its Facebook app.

These tools promise to allow both recruiters and companies to reach the maximum number of qualified candidates; to establish an attractive employment brand; and to fully leverage the viral features of social jobs; all without ever having to leave Facebook.

Jobmagic is not the first Massachusetts-based company to exploit the benefits of offering full-fledged services within the Facebook environment. Last month, Cambridge-based car sharing service Zipcar launched its “Reserve a Zipcar” Facebook app, which allows its members to reserve cars within the confines of the popular social networking site.

Jobmagic’s new social media optimization tools will enable job postings to reach a large, targeted audience across the Facebook universe. With a single click of the mouse, companies and recruiters can trigger viral distributions of their job opportunities. Facebook “sharing” and “liking” capabilities help add fuel to the viral fires that ensue.

Specific features of Jobmagic’s new release include the following:

  • Immersive videos, which play directly in Facebook on individual job postings
  • Rich, deeply branded, customized content, which fosters travel through social networks
  • An interactive blog and company’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts featured directly on each job opening to give job seeker 360 degree exposure to company culture and people
  • Deep personalization with pictures and names of hiring recruiters on company Facebook pages
  • Direct communication channel between a job seeker and a recruiter
  • Optimized publishing times to news feed for maximum exposure
  • Referral hiring with proprietary matching of candidates in employee referral networks
  • Inside connections for job seekers’ so they can view friends who work at the potential employer

“Sharing is the ultimate goal of the social media optimization, that’s how Jobmagic gets job postings to go viral,” said Jobmagic Founder and CEO Jindrich Liska. “Personalization and likeability are key. People share because they like what they see.”
