LivingSocial Offers Daily Deal on Kennedy Tour. Didn’t Know There Was One

Posted by jcashman

Like clockwork, I got my early morning email from daily deals site, LivingSocial. I have yet to buy a deal on any site, but for some reason I subscribe to several. Mostly, because I learn about new things to do in Boston and places I want to visit. I know there are a plethora of tours you can take in and around Boston, but today I learned about a new one- The Kennedy Tour- thanks to livingsocial.

After going to the Kennedy Tour site I found out that the Kennedy Walking Tour “highlights sites and landmarks in the city which played an important role in John F. Kennedy’s rise to the White House. The tour explores the emergence of an Irish political machine in Boston—led by Kennedy’s grandfathers, P.J. Kennedy and John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald—which paved the way for Kennedy’s political ascent, from Congressman, to Senator, to Vice-Presidential candidate, to President of the United States.”

After covering Senator Ted Kennedy’s illness and eventual death for months while working at 22News, I became very interested in their family history.

I think I might just buy my first daily deal.
