WASHINGTON (AP) — Mitt Romney raised more than $14 million over the past three months for his Republican presidential campaign.

The former Massachusetts governor on Friday reported his third quarter fundraising. Romney says he has almost $14.7 million in the bank. The former venture capitalist didn’t channel any of his personal fortune into his campaign during the quarter.

The substantial sum falls short of the $18 million Romney raised during the last reporting period. It’s also less than rival Rick Perry says he raised in his first seven weeks of his campaign. But Perry has yet to report how much cash he still has in hand.

Romney is the first of the Republican field to offer such a clear snapshot of his campaign finances.
