Technology Front End Engineer
Job Description
Open Mile’s founding team are proven, successful entrepreneurs and we are backed by two of the most respected venture capital firms nationwide. Our office is centrally located near the North Station MBTA stop.
Responsibilities will include
- creating cross browser, multi-platform compatible user interfaces
- psst… (don’t need to support IE6!)
- helping develop, extend and champion consistent style guidelines
- writing modular and high performance HTML/CSS/AJAX/Javascript applications
- interfacing with product, graphic design and operations teams
Pre-requisites
- at least 3 years of experience in front end development (flexible)
- strong sensibility in visual design
- deep skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and developing AJAX applications
- a couple of solid references
- samples of your work/personal projects
- ability to quickly prototype to bring ideas from concept to visualization
Huge Bonus Points if you
- have familiarity with a UI framework/templating engine
- have deep experience with jQuery
- have a sixth sense guiding you towards intuitive UX
- have experience working with planning/retail/travel websites (travel, personal finance, online shopping)
- have previous startup experience
